Seoul Metropolitan Government is adding to its fleet of rescue helicopters, bringing in a new multifunctional helicopter that can provide medical care and help put out fires.
The Leonardo AW-189 helicopter will carry EMS kits including respirators and defibrillators, and is equipped with thermal observation and meteorological radar equipment so it can provide treatment during the night.
And its water bucket can hold up to two-thousand liters of water to help extinguish fires.
The chopper can carry up to eighteen people and stay in the air for over four hours. It begins operations on Tuesday.
