Women at Pulkovo airport in St. Petersburg were given flowers as part of an initiative to celebrate International Women's Day today (March 8).

Footage shows young people performing in a flash mob at the airport's terminal and later welcoming women with flowers.

Protests and events took place around the world today to celebrate women and to demand a real change towards gender equality.
