At the heart of the Jeep stand in Geneva are the new plug-in hybrid models with batteries that can also be recharged via an external power outlet, allowing them to store more electrical energy, allowing the use of more powerful electric motors, such as Renegade and Compass PHEV leads to a purely electrical range of about 50 kilometers and a purely electrically achievable maximum speed of about 130 kilometers per hour.
The electric drives each work with a new, 1.3-liter turbo gasoline engine together to increase overall efficiency and performance. For the Renegade, the combined system performance is in the range of 140 kW (190 hp) to 177 kW (240 hp) and allows spirited performance such as the acceleration from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in about seven seconds. The same values (homologation still pending) will also reach the Jeep Compass PHEV.
