Democrats Plan to Condemn Remarks From Rep. Ilhan Omar The rebuke comes after Omar said she was not in favor of pledging allegiance to a foreign nation while serving the U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, via Town Hall Jewish groups and senior members of the Democratic party have since called the comment anti-semitic. This is the second time Omar has been called out from members of her own party. Last month, the freshman congresswoman got in trouble for saying money influences lawmakers to support Israel.
