Umno deputy president Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said Barisan Nasional's win in Semenyih sweetens the deal even more especially after retaining Cameron Highlands in January.

Mohamad said the combined power of two former rivals led the way to champion Malay and Muslim rights.

Meanwhile, Zakaria Hanafi thanked voters for entrusting him to bring their voices to the state assembly.
