The seminar on Ram Janmabhoomi Temple at Delhi University began amid protests and heavy police deployment. The students from left leaning student body like All India Students Association( AISA), Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) and National students Union of India protested outside the Arts faculty. In front of the Confernce Centre ,right wing student organisation shouted slogans of “Jai Siya Ram” and “Bharat Mata ki Jai”. Organised by the Arundhati Vasisht Anusandhan Peeth, an organisation founded by late Ashok Singhal, the two-day seminar was inaugurated by BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy. Meanwhile BJP leader Subramaniam Swamy lashed out at those opposing the seminar and dubbed them as “intolerant.”
