The last ray of hope for nirbhaya's parents today diminished. Dismissing the dcw's plea the supreme court has confirmed that the juvenile rapist will be released under observation. The apex court said that it shared the concern but it cannot act beyond the law.

Considering the barbarity and exceptional circumstances. Dcw had hoped that the apex court may just pave the way for his return to the remand home. But the courts weren't swayed by popular sentiments and acted as per the existing laws
