Distraught and dejected by repeated disappointment from the Indian Judiciary, Nirbhaya’s parents are nonetheless going to make more attempts to stay the release of their daughter’s rapist. Jyoti Singh’s father Badrinath Singh said on Sunday that he along with his wife and their supporters will stage protests at Indian Gate. However, Delhi police intervened, saying that protests will not be allowed at India Gate, since Section 144 was imposed in that area. The protest comes after the Supreme Court had refused to stay the release of the juvenile convict of December 16 Delhi rape.
