Amid row over ban on beef sale in some states, yoga teacher Ramdev sought a prohibition on cow slaughter in the entire country and called for giving "national animal" status to it. And now BJP has backed Ramdev's demand. BJP MP Yogi Adityanath has not just backed what Ramdev had said but he went on to say that sale on cow meat must be made punishable. He also said like Ramdev that Cow must be given the status on national animal.
