Reports expose how Delhi is fighting a losing battle against dengue. In the last three years there has been an alarming decline in the allocation of funds to Delhi for prevention of dengue between 2012 and 2015 the central government allocation to Delhi for controlling vector borne diseases came down from Rs. 50 crore to just Rs.17 crore. As a result Delhi government allocated a smaller portion to the 3 municipal corporations. There are also reports of financial mismanagement in Dehli with Rs.19 crore lying unused from the 2014 budget.
