The war over the post of Delhi’s Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) chief has has turned ugly. Delhi government appointed ACB chief Surender Singh Yadav has alleged threat to his life from Lt Governor appointed ACB chief Mukesh Kumar Meena, according to reports on Friday. Yadav has written a letter to the Delhi government complaining that Meena allegedly threatened him with dire consequences after he refused to share details of some sensitive FIRs. Yadav has also sent letters to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung and Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi informing them about alleged threats from Meena. The former ACB chief, who is an additional commissioner of police, went on a rant against Delhi Police in the presence of MK Meena after being censured for carrying the ACB’s FIR book. Yadav was directed to follow the rules and hand over the FIR book to the SHO, which is when he lost his cool, and even threatened to commit suicide.
