Ahead of the 40th anniversary of the Emergency on June 25. BJP patriarch L K Advani has struck a note of caution. He says that a similar suspension of civil liberties could not be ruled out in the future. He added that at present the forces that can crush democracy, notwithstanding the constitutional and legal safeguards, are stronger. He says no one can do it easily. But added that fundamental liberties could be in future be curtailed again.
