Hitting back at the allegations made by the Congress party, Union Environment Minister and senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Prakash Javadekar on Monday said that the former was raking up the Lalit Modi controversy because it has run out of all other issues.
“Who let him escape? He escaped in your regime? First answer that? What did you do after that? Congress has run out of issues that is why they are raking up this issue” said Javadekar. “There are hundreds of photos of Jyotiraditya Scindia and Rajeev Shukla with Lalit Modi. What are you (Congress) doing?…Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and other Ministers have photos with almost all the accused in Coal scam, CWG scam and 2G scam,” he added.
