NEW DELHI: A radioactive leak from a medical consignment that arrived on a Turkish Airlines plane from Istanbul, was detected in the cargo area of the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi this morning. Home Minister Rajnath Singh said the leak has been "contained."
Officials emphasised that there was no need for panic. The incident did not affect airport operations, they said. The passenger terminal of the airport is about 2 km away from the cargo area.
