The 1984 riots have become a contentious subject for the Centre and the AAP government in Delhi with both accusing each other of not being serious about the issues related to it.

The Union home ministry is not happy with the AAP government for not cooperating with it in the riot investigation ordered by it by setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
