MUMBAI: The traffic police chief has instituted an inquiry after a constable, Sunil Toke (50), complained about harassment for his refusal to accept bribes and distribute the money to a chain of officers extending to the top of the hierarchy.
Toke, who put in his papers in September, is yet to be relieved. He had dashed off the complaint to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Toke said that he was repeatedly posted at different locations because of his refusal to accept bribes.
