Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed believes that in a democracy even the separatists should be given space.

It seems, holding on to that idea, Sayeed’s government on Monday allowed three top separatist leaders—Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik—to hold a joint rally at the house of a teenager who was killed allegedly in police firing on Saturday at Narbal on the outskirts of Srinagar.
