It's yet another round of battle between the AAP govt in Delhi and the Centre. In the latest, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has written a letter to Delhi police commissioner demanding more say in policing matters of the city. Kejriwal has demanded that a copy of the transfer & postings of Delhi Police personnel be marked to his office as well along with the Home Ministry. Kejriwal also wants a list of officers serving in their present posts, despite having completed their tenures, and the names of all SHOs and traffic inspectors. Citing the President’s order of September 24,1998, Kejriwal has said the information sought is in accordance with that notification. The notification states that Delhi's LG may exercise power over Delhi Police and it will be done in consultation with Delhi CM.
