The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to West Bengal government over the gang-rape of a 71-year-old nun. The state police are yet to make any arrests in the case. Several people have been detained for interrogation. The nun was gang-raped in Ranaghat town, some 80km from Kolkata, early on Saturday. She was injured so badly that she had to undergo a surgery.
