The Narendra Modi government has announced the list of Padma awardees to be honoured on the Republic Day this year.

The list of 148 recipients of Padma Awards released will be given during Republic Day celebrations on January 26.
The list names including BJP veteran leader LK Advani, Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal, Yoga Guru Baba Ram Dev, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, Dilip Kumar will get Padma Award.

Filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lyricist and ad guru Prasoon Joshi, Salim Khan, the father of superstar Salman Khan and more than two dozen doctors are also in the Padma Awards list.

Indian Badminton Player PV Sindhu, World Champion Wrestler Sushil Kumar are also included in the list of Padma Awards.

Padma Awards are given in three categories – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri.
