A vacation bench of Karnataka High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's application, seeking immediate bail and suspension of conviction and jail sentence in the disproportionate assets case to October 7.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa was on September 28 convicted under prevention of corruption act by a special court in Bangalore. She has sentenced to a jail term of 4 years by the Bangalore Special Court and has been slapped with a fine of Rs 100 crores in the judgement for an 18-year-old corruption case.
