Two persons were arrested today in connection with ransacking of the office of Vikram University's Vice Chancellor J L Kaul, allegedly by saffron workers, for his appeal to landlords to be sympathetic towards their Kashmiri students-cum-tenants in the wake of flood in that state.
The incident which occurred in Ujjain yesterday prompted the opposition Congress to slam the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government for "not doing enough to rein in the saffron workers", with the senior Congress leader K K Mishra terming the incident as a "blot on the age-old teacher-pupil relationship."
