The Supreme Court declined relief for Salman Khan in the blackbuck poaching case (1998). In the hearing which was scheduled for today, the apex court said that ‘the law is equal for all.’ The actor had submitted an affidavait on August 27, asking the Apex Court to allow him his basic right to travel across the world as his occupation demands so. However now it seems that trouble is far from over for the megastar.

The Chinkara blackbuck poaching case dates back to year 1998 when Salman along with Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam were shooting for their film Hum Saath Saath Hain. On the intervening night of October 1 and 2 in 1998, the actors were accused of poaching two blackbucks in Kankani village near Jodhpur. However, later on there were a series of protests against Salman Khan, as he was seen as the prime accused in killing of an endangered animal.
