BJP president Amit Shah on Wednesday inaugurated Narendra Modi's office in Varanasi, one of the two seats won by the Prime Minister in the last Lok Sabha elections.

"Modi contested from two places but it was pre-decided that he will retain the Varanasi seat," Shah said.

"Modi is such a unique person who never stood for parliamentary elections and when he did, he became the PM," the Prime Minister's trusted aide told party workers.
