The situation in Sharanpur remains tense though there have been no instance of fresh violence. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the Akhilesh Yadav’s government has imposed curfew in the area. The government has also rushed in 13 companies of Rapid Action Force, PAC and CRPF to keep the situation under control.Violence between two communities erupted when Sikhs started construction on the site in Kutubsher area early in the morning on Saturday. The violence so far had claimed lives three persons besides injuring over 20 people. Twenty people have been arrested in connection with the Saharanpur clashes in order to clamp down on the violence.
