Bangalore rape case: BJP protest intensifies

MN Reddi, who has taken charge as the Bangalore police commissioner in the place of Raghavendra Auradkar, on Tuesday met the parents of the six-year-old, who was allegedly raped in a school on July 02.

In another important development to be tracked today is the meeting between a delegation of parents and authorities of Vibgyor High School. The parents will then decide whether they would send their children to the school after the incident.

The school has been shut since July 17.

In the meantime, the BJP has intensified protests in the city against the Congress-led rule in the state. Former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, Karnataka BP chief Prahlad Joshi and other BJP leaders today joined the protest against the incident.
