Trinamool Congress MP Tapas Pal's controversial comments rocked the West Bengal Assembly on Tuesday with Congress staging a walk-out after the Speaker disallowed its adjournment motion demanding Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's statement and the MP's immediate arrest.

Immediately after the Question Hour, Speaker Biman Banerjee took up the adjournment motion and disallowed it.

The Congress members then walked out shouting slogans demanding action against Tapas Pal, who is a two-time Trinamool Congress MP from Krishnagar.
