The Ministry of External Affairs said that Narendra Modi's meeting with all the Saarc leaders were substantive and successful.
During his meeting with Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif, Foreign Secretary Sujatha Singh said that Modi, "conveyed that Pakistan must abide by its commitment to maintain cross border ceasefire" and also asked for necessary steps on speedy trial in the 26/11 attacks case.
Singh said that, "Both the prime ministers agreed that the Foreign Secretaries will stay in touch. The two countries could move to full trade normalisation very soon. Modi expressed hope that India-Pakistan relations would progress like with other Saarc nations."
On Jammu and Kashmir, Singh said, "The foreign secretaries will be in touch to see the best way forward."
