Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday skipped the farewell party of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The farewell dinner was hosted by Congress President Sonia Gandhi in the national capital which was attended by a galaxy of party leaders and Union ministers.

Congress sources said that Rahul met the Prime Minister on Saturday and thanked him. He told the prime minister that he was leaving town.
