A Sri Lankan national, believed to be an ISI agent, was arrested here on Tuesday for his suspected links with Indian terror modules.
Mohamed Zahir Hussain (37), suspected to be an accomplice of a Colombo-based ISI operative, is believed to have visited Tamil Nadu several times in the recent past and allegedly used a fake passport during one of his visits, police sources said.
Hussain's arrest came just two days before the twin blasts at the Chennai central railway station here, in which at least one person has been killed.
While no link has been established between Hussain's arrest and the blasts, sources said police are probing any suspected linkage.
Hussain was apprehended after a raid at an undisclosed location Tuesday following intelligence inputs.
