At least 15 persons are feared injured in a grenade explosion at a bus stand in Magam township of the Central Kashmir Budgam district, on Srinagar-Gulmarg Road where the Union Minister and the National Conference candidate in Srinagar-Budgam constituency Dr. Farooq Abdullah was scheduled to address a campaign rally in the afternoon.

Official sources told that the blast occurred at 11.40 a.m. at the crowded Magam busyard where preparations were underway for Dr. Abdullah's election rally. Nine of the injured were rushed to two hospitals in Srinagar and some of the people with minor injuries were treated at the local sub district hospital.
