Both the Houses of Parliament were adjourned till noon today on several issues, including Telangana.
As soon as the Lok Sabha met, members belonging to Congress, TDP and YSR-Congress from Seemandhra rushed to the podium and raised slogans in favour of United Andhra.
Members from Tamil Nadu also trooped into the well, demanding the release of Tamil fishermen. At the same time, Shiromani Akali Dal members raised slogans on 1984 Delhi riots.
Speaker Meira Kumar repeatedly appealed to the members to maintain calm to allow for the smooth conduct of the House. As noisy scenes continued, she adjourned the House till noon.
Similar scenes were witnessed in Rajya Sabha.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed to all sections in Parliament to cooperate with the government in passing important legislations.
"This is probably the last session of the parliament, and, this my sincere appeal to all sections of the House to contribute to creating the feeling and atmosphere thereby this session will go down in history as an historic session," Dr. Singh told media here.
