The Delhi Police on Monday stopped Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's car near Rail Bhawan here, while he was on his way to North Block to sit on a dharna, along with his cabinet colleagues, outside Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde's office.
Kejriwal is demanding action against Delhi Police personnel for alleged dereliction of duty.
"As of now they don't have permission to leave from here (Rail Bhavan)," said Mukesh Kumar Meena, Joint CP, Delhi Police, said.
"We will maintain law and order under all circumstances," Meena added.
Kejriwal is reported to have dared the police that he would wait till the Republic Day drill gets over and then move towards North Block, setting a stage for confrontation.
Also, police have detained supporters of an outfit raising slogans against Kejriwal at Rail Bhawan.
