In year 2010 Mehwish and Abdul Hakim elope and get married against family's wishes. In 2012 couple appear on a show on Khaap panchayats in Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate'.

Months after the show, Abdul is murdered. Mehwish claims her family killed Abdul, but cops say it was a result of a family feud. Mehwish complains of being locked-up and beaten by in-laws. Police and Mehwish's family reach to rescue her. Her in-laws brutally thrash Mehwish and her family in front of police.
