In a rare development, Congress vice president is today attending the party's core group meeting being held at the Prime Minister's residence here.

The Congress core group includes the party's senior-most leaders.

As per reports, Rahul is expected to attend meetings of all major party forums in the run-up to the General Elections in May.

The core group meeting comes two days ahead of the all-important AICC session on Friday where Rahul could be named the Congress' prime ministerial candidate.
