The much-awaited anti corruption Lokpal bill that sparked nationwide protests paralysed parliament ignited massive debates was introduced in parliament but it resulted in an anti-climax.

As the Upper house began its proceedings members started to troop into the well of the house and disrupted the discussion. Repeated attempts by the Rajya Sabha chairman to restore order was in vain and the house was adjourned twice.
