Mumbai: Congress state president Professor Janardhan Chandurkar that Lata Mangeshkar should surrender her Bharat Ratna and Padma awards, failing which the government should take them, back from her. Speaking at a function to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad on Monday, Chandurkar, who is a former MLA, criticised Mangeshkar for supporting Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi's candidature for prime ministership.
