The search for the 'Tainted' UP Minister Gayatri Prajapati continues to be a mystery after he went missing when the police came to look for him at his Lucknow residence on Tuesday.

A massive manhunt has been issued with the UP Police recording statements of his servants and raiding Prajapati’s houses in Lucknow and Amethi.

Acting as per Supreme Court directives, Uttar Pradesh police filed a FIR against Gayatri Prajapati for allegedly gangraping a 35-year-old woman from Chitrakoot.

The apex court directed the police to book the minister, who is a senior leader in Samajwadi Party and considered a close confidant to Mulayam Singh Yadav.

The rape victim has alleged that she was gang-raped by Prajapati and his men by luring her of a position within the party. Prajapati meanwhile has refuted all the allegations as a political conspiracy. He has also moved the top court to seek protection against arrest.
