The political slugfest between AIADMK General Secretary, VK Sasikala and caretaker CM, O Panneerselvam in Tamil Nadu, might see a closure on Tuesday, with the Supreme Court delivering a verdict in the 21-year-old disproportionate assets case.

A bench of two judges P C Ghose and Amitava Roy is expected to pronounce their judgments today where Sasikala allegedly conspired along with J Jayalalithaa to amass wealth in excess of 60 crores, in the 1990s. The ruling if not in favour of Sasikala will dash any hopes for her to become CM of Tamil Nadu. Moreover, she will be not eligible to hold any public office or contest elections for at least 6 years.
