In less than 24-hours Narendra Modi will address the first of his rallies in Uttar Pradesh, commonly described as the gateway to parliament given the 80 mps it sends to the Lok Sabha.
Modi needs as many seats as he can here to have a serious stab at the pm-ship. His message therefore has to be all the more convincing. Watching his every move will be U.P's minorities who are said to vote tactically and several other denominations that, if the results of a Sunday guardian- c-voter poll are to be believed, are itching to break out of the creed & caste river politics of the state.
