Coming out as a big push to the Congress Party for Punjab elections, ex-cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu joined Congress on Sunday after meeting the party vice president Rahul Gandhi.

Earlier, Congress leader Navjot Kaur hinted that her husband Navjot Singh Sidhu will join the party in a 'day or two'. She also added that he has been assured of a 'significant' role in Punjab if Congress gets elected in the Punjab polls.
