Day after Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav announced a list of candidates for the upcoming 2017 Uttar Pradesh polls, a rift within the party appeared because sitting MLAs and close aide of Akhilesh Yadav were denied ticket. Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday announced his own list of 235 candidates for the upcoming elections.

According to reports, Akhilesh was unhappy with the official nominees announced by the party and he prepared a list of candidates of his choice.

CM Akhilesh Yadav's list includes names of Pawan Pandey, Indal Rawat, Arvind Singh 'Gope', Atul Pradhan, Brij Lal Sonkar and Ram Govind Chaudhary.
