A large explosion occurred at the Pathankot air base on Tuesday afternoon even as Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar arrived there. According to media reports, a controlled explosion of material was heard from the site.

Parrikar will brief the media from Pathankot on the ongoing combing operations, which have entered their fourth day.
