NewsX: Big blow to Congress leader Sajjan Kumar in the 1984 anti-Sikh riots case, the Delhi High Court has rejected his plea to quash a trial court order directing the framing of charges aganist him in July 2010.
The case pertains to Sultampuri riots after the assassination of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.As many as 6 persons were killed.
Sajjan had sought for quashing the order based on his acquittal in another case involving the death of 5 people in the Delhi cantonment area during the riots.
A cross appeal in the High court had sought to invoke the charges of criminal conspiracy and opposed the plea to drop charges against Sajjan Kumar.
