Former media executive Indrani Mukerjea, who is accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora, was rushed to Mumbai's JJ Hospital this afternoon from the Byculla women's jail after she complained of "uneasiness." Doctors said she has been unconscious since 2 pm. They have described Ms Mukherjea's condition as "serious but stable."

"Indrani Mukherjea was brought here at 2 pm. She is unconscious since. Her condition is serious... We think that she (Indrani Mukerjea) has consumed some tablets, we are treating her on that basis," said TP Lahane, the Dean of JJ Hospital.
