NewsX: In a decision with far reaching consequences, the Central Information Commission (CIC) on Monday brought political parties under the ambit of the Right to Information (RTI) Act. As per reports, the CIC ruled that the parties would now be answerable to public as regards their funding, expenditure, selection of election candidates etc. All these information would have to be provided in the form of written records.
