BJP leader M.J. Akbar was on Thursday elected to the Rajya Sabha in a by-poll from Jharkhand, an official said. Akbar defeated Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) candidate Haji Hussain Ansari by a margin of 19 votes.
