Delhi girl M Gayatri tops exam, outshine boys in CBSE Class XII results

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Monday declared the results for class XII examination, with 82 per cent students passing the exam and girls faring better than boys. The pass percentage of girls stood at 87.56 as compared to 77.77 per cent of the boys. The overall pass percentage was marginally lower than last year where 82.70 per cent students had passed the exam as against 82 per cent this year. Thiruvananthapuram Region registered the highest pass percentage at 95.41. M Gayatri of New Green Fields school, New Delhi has topped the exam in the country securing 99.2 per cent. She scored 496 marks out of 500.
