In the Thane Building collapse, more bodies have been recovered overnight, raising the death toll to 71. But out of two absconding builders, one of them arrested. Sources say that many more people are feared buried under the debris and rescue operations are still underway. Preliminary reports indicate that the seven-storeyed building was unauthorised and inferior quality materials were used for its construction. Also civic authorities claim that building existed on forest land and was occupied at least up to the fourth floor.
