A strike against fuel price hike and violation of labour laws has been called by 11 central trade unions on 20th and 21st February. This will hit normal life in the north-east. The trade unions, irrespective of party lines, have vowed to bring the region to a halt during the two-day strike. Trade unions have said that the national strike will be the biggest event involving the labour force in many years.
